Well done on what you have done so far in the backyard, what a transformation already, I too cant wait to see the end result. What a shock when you get all those weeds growing in the backyard and it looks terrible, we were in the same boat, waiting for nearly 2 years to get the backyard going, and it really did look like a jungle and you really wonder where to start, but its a miracle what a bobcat can do in such a short time and it all starts to come together. We still havent even done our front as yet, the weeds are out of control, but will start on that as soon as backyard is done.

Well done and good luck for the rest of the backyard, hopefully weather wont be too hot to get done what you want to.

The pergola still hasn't finished being painted! We have planted some fruit trees, and other plants... will post some photos after the turf goes down... which is still about 4 weeks away...

I do love the view out to the back yard now though... it's so much nicer than mounds of dirt, clay and weeds

I'd love fruit trees! Which ones do you have?

At the moment we have 4 olive trees, all at different stages, the one in the ground we transplanted from a pot that we had it in for 8 years, and it's really taken off, the other 3 are much smaller and are in wine barrels. We have 5 different citrus aswell. Our ornamental grape vine has been growing like mad in this hot/wet Melbourne weather too

I absolutely love your bookshelf in the den. Did you get it made or did you buy it? I've been trying to look for something similar but cant find anything. MIL gave me a solid timber bookshelf 3mx2m but isn't what i am after.

The backyard look amazing. Even though it isnt finished, you can see a massive difference between weeds and no weeds.

Great work!! Big blocks are the best...but it's the blank canvas thats annoying - i have no idea where to start

The bookshelves are from IKEA The Billy ones I think, we added the extra piece for height
