Browse Forums Building A New House Re: A & E's place. One year on... 1521Jul 01, 2011 12:17 pm Hi Erin, Just had a look through this thread; amazing work as usual Just FYI my parents have an ornamental grape vine at the front of their home and it is great. Does make a small amount of mess when it flowers (green pollen-type stuff everywhere) and then in autumn when it drops all of its leaves. But on the upside no messy fruit on the ground. One quick question; I remember some time ago Aaron installed some Lack shelves (the ikea ones) in your family room that you used to store DVDs. Have tried to find the pictures on your other thread to not avail! Anyway, I have now bought the same shelves and just wanted to know; how did you fix them to the wall? (into the studs, only to the plaster etc) They say they only have a load capacity of 5 kilos if not fixed to studs and that's not much at all. I'm just a bit worried about the shelves falling off the wall as, with the spacing on the brackets, I could only ever fix one row of screws to a stud! Thanks in advance Re: A & E's place. That's about it So happy! Re: A & E's House! One year on... 12 month inspection comple 1527Jul 01, 2011 5:37 pm Erin good to hear only minor things. We haven't even thought about a 12mth inspection.
