There isn't much choice is there Catjim. So much for the RANGE of providers! I'm so scared we'll end up like Bicko with no TV or Internet for a month. I've been on my cabling contractors back a bit of late to ensure they get everything done. The communication was lacking there for a while. I wondered how this system would allow for 2nd phone lines etc. Hope you find a solution
Our fibre connection was marked as 'connection scheduled' throught opennetworks. Haven't seen anything since then but hopefully that's not far away. Actually they'd better leave it a day or so as they need to walk on our new concrete to pull the fibre through, as we've had a path put part way up the side of the house.
We actually need three phone lines........home phone, business phone and fax / EFTPOS line. The two phones are OK as they can be VOIP, which also means we can transfer the phone numbers. The fax and EFTPOS machines both need a phone line. If I can't get a phone line through Go Talk I'll have to investigate faxing through to my computer but don't know whether I can get the current Telstra line redirected. I can probably get a wireless EFTPOS machine. All added complications.
