My receptionist is one of them! 42 years old and could probably bench press me!! Re: OK NOT A HOUSE BUT….. 65Oct 24, 2007 11:44 am Michelle, i know that some of us didn't notice the alignment of the peak to the doors, i think that was because the roofing structure was not on yet, so all we noticed were the horizontal and vertical beams.
But i think that once the peak is on, it is going to stand out a lot more... Is it worth the issues down the track? Is it a very expensive exercise to ask them to change it? I'm sure they can look after you, even if the cost was 50/50... If this is a house that you are going to stay in, you need to be happy with it.... At the end of the say it is YOUR choice, i know, but think of what it will look like finished and if you will be ultimately happy or not. ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: OK NOT A HOUSE BUT….. 67Oct 24, 2007 11:49 am If I was your wife I would SACK your receptionist!!! ![]() ![]() But I did a bit of weight lifting once……warm up leg pressed, more than other woman pressed as their work out weight!!!!! ![]() Your receptionist looks great, and it takes a lot of perseverance to achieve her look…….yay girl power!!!! To get it all done again means ordering all the metal again, which increases our price two fold. Not to mention the extra money I’m about to outlay in there…. But I might push for a discount….due to stupidity!!!! HIS and mine! ![]() Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: OK NOT A HOUSE BUT….. 70Oct 24, 2007 12:13 pm Hey - leave it go up as is.
Then you can plan on stage 2 Re-move the the brick wall - install a beam where the wall was remioved, install some lovely some timber style french doors (That line up) and then it will look great. ![]() And on that note - I've got way to much work to do - so I'll have to catch up on this thread very important (but enjoyable thread) tomorrow. And by then the new roof will be on anyway. Steve Re: OK NOT A HOUSE BUT….. 71Oct 24, 2007 12:17 pm ![]() But I might push for a discount….due to stupidity!!!! It's easier to believe!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() You know what, after it's up, if you don't mention it, then no-one will probably notice when they come around anyway - unless you tell them.... Although everything, including my small paver gardens will all have to be moved over by a meter.
Now I’m a big girl, and I am taking responsibility for half of this project going pear shape. I should have known better, and should have taken more control of the project! Shame, but that’s how it is. I have been flat out at work today, and didn’t get a chance to ring him yet. But I have worked out why our conversation had been forgotten by him. He has designed this awning from my site plan…..IF he had taken measurements and more notice onsite, this wouldn’t have happened. Anyway this will be my last blow up on this post, as I said, I hold half the responsibility. If you want to follow progress from this project, check out my “My New Awning" post….that’s where all the new photos and my comments will be.
