We built the retreat and moved in 3 months ago. Love seeing the different things people do with them. Look forward to watching your progress. We are up to the fun (not!) job of landscaping an ACRE! The link to my blog is in my signature. Wow an acre!!!! Couldn't see your blog in signature section? Whats it like living in a "Retreat" - enough space? Not a blog, just a thread on H1. The retreat is great. We built the biggest one (it has a name like q1 20m or something). The stella facade we have also made one of the bedrooms bigger. 2 kids have their own area now. Things should progress quickly now they have begun. Building the Pl@ntation Retreat on 4009m2. All moved in!!!!!! Well its certainly flat and due to the rain was a bit muddy! We may require retaining in some areas, however due to us having “E” class soil our slab will be approx be 47cm (higher than a normal slab) so by the time we put soil in to fill it up we may not need to. It’s a bit a waiting game to see what our neighbours do as well. So we shall just wait and see! Eek! Bet that cost a bit over the standard! I thought my M was bad! At least you can do your retaining afterwards if need be. Our block only has 1/2m of fall over it but M3tr1c0n tells us we need to put in a 800mm high wall after they cut it before they will start the slab! If you ask me if they think it HAS to be done, they should have included it!
