Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Better Late than Never - Our Fairhaven!! 1002Aug 03, 2011 11:04 pm We have 3 mths don't we? Or is it 6? People in our street said that others have been given the rebate just by having a driveway and stick a plant or 2 in. We've had to wait for the ground to dry up before anything so we can get the retaining wall fixed and the backyard scraped. Hopefully we get it too. Good luck Re: Better Late than Never - Our Fairhaven!! 1004Oct 11, 2011 1:39 pm UPDATE!!! As my title suggests Better Late than Never....... builder maintenance is completed (finally)!! Also Better Late than Never....... DH has begun some landscaping We initially were going to pay someone to do a decking path leading from the driveway and footpath to our front door, but when quotes came back around $8000 and higher DH decided he would attempt to do it himself, how hard could it be right (he works behind a desk all day )! Well thanks to google and you-tube he worked it out and i've even got some happy snaps for you It's a working progress and I think he has done himself proud and doing a fabulous job Some before shots http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad92/barbs68/Moved%20in/Outside/164.jpg http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad92/barbs68/Moved%20in/Outside/159.jpg Frame stage http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad92/barbs68/Moved%20in/Outside/003.jpg http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad92/barbs68/Moved%20in/Outside/001.jpg Getting there http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad92/barbs68/Moved%20in/Outside/285.jpg http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad92/barbs68/Moved%20in/Outside/282.jpg It still needs a couple of steps up and another level of decking leading up to the footpath! http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad92/barbs68/Moved%20in/Outside/280.jpg http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad92/barbs68/Moved%20in/Outside/284.jpg http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad92/barbs68/Moved%20in/Outside/287.jpg Re: Better Late than Never - Our Fairhaven!! We get our 6 month maintenance on the 24th. Only a couple of small issues. I think they did an outstanding job to start with that we don't need too much done. I've been really happy with the house. Good to move away from steel anyway for all your reasons, but it's also thermally poor. 16 12995 It's crucial to check your contract and local regulations regarding late completion penalties. If your builder said the permit issuance means no more penalties, you should… 8 8769 We are looking to do a KDR with fairhaven homes, Have seen plenty of good reviews about them pre construction and plenty of negative reviews about them during contruction… 0 13129 |
