Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 24, 2010 2:36 pm Hello Just wondering if 'Certificate of Occupancy' and 'Occupancy Permit' are separate things or the same? We have been given our Occupancy Permit, but I'm not sure if we need to get a Certificate of Occupancy also before we can move in to the house. We haven't done our garden yet, and it was a council requirement to have certain native plants in the garden before they issue Certificate of Occupancy, so I'm assuming these are separate things? Handover is in about a fortnight. Hope someone can help!
