Thanks so much, got the tree at Myer actually, loved it the moment we saw it, was not the cheapest but definately the prettiest we saw. Worth the little extra I think. Re: Our Castle- Metro 51 -Been in for 4 weeks - photo overlo 164Jan 16, 2011 9:56 pm Rizzo That is STUNNING!! I love love love your kitchen! Your blinds on your sliding doors, did you get them online or did someone do them for you? Exactly what I am after for ours thank you kindly, the blinds we got made, but they are just 5% e-screens or sun blinds that can be done anywhere. Re: Our Castle- Metro 51 -Been in for 4 weeks - photo overlo 165Jan 16, 2011 10:06 pm pedro.lyn.josh WOW..... How awesome is your house... ugh soooooooooo gorgeous... and that kitchen wow i so wanna cook in it I love the decor and how good does that splash back look now see told ya...hahahahaha awesome awesome awesome you must be absolutely stoked i can only wish my house came out like yours... god i dont even have the furniture to fill it....hahahaha I am going to steal your hand rail and balastrads idea (but only if you dont mind) do you know what type of timber they used for it? i am so so so happy for you haha ... you are welcome to come cook in it any time... anything to get out of cooking for me! Yes splashback turned out just fine...a lot of stressing for nothing! We were lucky we had the furniture from our last house..have not bought anything new, except the bed for our room and my 2 year olds bed. Just one room is empty...the rumpus upstairs..but how many couches can you sit on for god sakes..we already have 3 Also need a few stools for the kitchen. would have chosen different furniture for this house if I had my way, but no way the other half is going to agree to that More ultra modern but it is fine what we have, can't be to greedy. hehe As for the stair rail, steal away, not sure what timber they used but it was stained in what was called charcoal in colour. Hope all is going as smooth as possible in your build so far and how is your new little daughter going? Re: Our Castle- Metro 51 -Been in for 4 weeks - photo overlo 166Jan 16, 2011 10:09 pm And a big thanks to everyone for your kind comments. We are pretty happy with how it has all turned out, however as always, there are a few issues we are not happy with in regards to finish etc which we are trying to resolve, but I am sure we will work it all out. Cheers! Re: Our Castle- Metro 51 -Been in for 4 weeks - photo overlo 167Jan 17, 2011 7:55 am well Myah is actually a hell of alot better now... her collic is still there but slowly receding and we have been able to cut out the 10.30 feed... we found we were waking her up for it... so we left her one night and she slept till 5am and has been doing that ever since. The build is moving along... Bottom level bricks have been complete and scaffolding goes up today.. i predict lockup by mid feb but this is weather permitting. the renderer measured up the w/end gone but all in all i cant complain about the build stopping too much as they have moved at a steady pace. pics are on my thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=37134 THE THREAD https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=35962 THE BLOG! http://pedrosinspiredbeauty.blogspot.com/ BRICKS BRICKS ARE FINISHED...
