Browse Forums Building A New House Re: SWITCH HOMES spa delivered!! 161Nov 02, 2010 12:58 am Had meeting with new SS. All went well, passed on the list of issues which he said will get sorted. This feels like a fresh start for the final push to completion. Ceiling for portico and alfresco went in today as well as the spa was fitted. All in all a great start to the week. 17 JUNE SLAB DOWN 23 AUGUST BRICK WORK COMPLETE 15 SEPTEMBER ROOF COMPLETE 25 SEPTEMBER FIRST FLOAT COMPLETE 5 NOVEMBER LOCK UP 12 NOVEMBER GRANO POURED 27 NOVEMBER TILING COMPLETE 8 DECEMBER DEFECTS FIX AND FINAL CLEAN STARTED https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34992 Re: SWITCH HOMES soakwells/stormwater fit tomorrow 162Nov 02, 2010 7:47 pm The new SS is off to a flying start . Soakwell/stormwater issue resolved and due for install tomorrow. Just met sparkies on site( by lucky timing) to sort the missing conduit. We came to a good compromise to save the walls being cut . Ceiling in the portico and alfresco are fitted and cabinets for the kitchen/bathrooms are due around mid month. My enthusiasm and a lot of my confidence has been restored in under 24 hours. If we can keep this tempo we might just beat the Christmas shutdown, Fingers crossed....oh there's no smilies for that 17 JUNE SLAB DOWN 23 AUGUST BRICK WORK COMPLETE 15 SEPTEMBER ROOF COMPLETE 25 SEPTEMBER FIRST FLOAT COMPLETE 5 NOVEMBER LOCK UP 12 NOVEMBER GRANO POURED 27 NOVEMBER TILING COMPLETE 8 DECEMBER DEFECTS FIX AND FINAL CLEAN STARTED https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34992 Re: SWITCH HOMES soakwells/stormwater fit tomorrow 163Nov 02, 2010 7:48 pm SOunds good feggle, I'll keep my fingers crossed! my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: SWITCH HOMES soakwells/stormwater fit tomorrow 164Nov 02, 2010 9:53 pm Sounds like you will be picking up the pace again! We had siteworks around 23/2/10 looking at pci in maybe 2 weeks our contract says 250 working days which is 50 weeks as it is a 5 day week. Jbarry's house started in june and they are not all that far behind me everything hinges on your ss and we never had anyone for most of our build, kept pushing it along ourselves. So stay on top of ss. Will post some piccies of house in a few days need DS to assist me. Did you ask for the meeting with the new SS? We were going to request a meeting but as it turned out, the CM organised one because of the changeover of the SS. 17 JUNE SLAB DOWN 23 AUGUST BRICK WORK COMPLETE 15 SEPTEMBER ROOF COMPLETE 25 SEPTEMBER FIRST FLOAT COMPLETE 5 NOVEMBER LOCK UP 12 NOVEMBER GRANO POURED 27 NOVEMBER TILING COMPLETE 8 DECEMBER DEFECTS FIX AND FINAL CLEAN STARTED https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34992 Re: SWITCH HOMES soakwells/stormwater fit tomorrow 168Nov 03, 2010 2:19 pm I just don't get that. Our SS left and we had a new one start, and because of that I was in contact with the CM directly about the brick issues, but we were never offered a meeting with the new SS. Their communication, consistency and customer service really leaves a lot to be desired. Have you returned your survey form? Re: SWITCH HOMES Stormwater connected soakwells onsite 171Nov 03, 2010 6:25 pm Well as promised the soakwells were delivered and the stormwater is all connected. And to our surprise all of the tiles have been delivered! . The ceiling guys are patching the last of the alfresco and bulkhead to kitchen so that should hopefully be finished this week. We are currently at 99.9% lockup, with one window missing. Suits us at the moment as the house continues to be built but they cant request the progress payment . Will post some more pics tonight. 17 JUNE SLAB DOWN 23 AUGUST BRICK WORK COMPLETE 15 SEPTEMBER ROOF COMPLETE 25 SEPTEMBER FIRST FLOAT COMPLETE 5 NOVEMBER LOCK UP 12 NOVEMBER GRANO POURED 27 NOVEMBER TILING COMPLETE 8 DECEMBER DEFECTS FIX AND FINAL CLEAN STARTED https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34992 Re: SWITCH HOMES soakwells/stormwater fit tomorrow 172Nov 03, 2010 10:09 pm naughty lilfeggle didn't snap any pics off this arvo Follow Feggle viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34992 Follow lilfeggle viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37149 Asbestosis Sux! House is now officially locked up. All of the internal ceilings and cornice are fitted and fixed. The garage ceiling join has been re done and looks great. And the big surprise yesterday... the cabinet maker was busy fitting all the shelving. OMG the scullery looks HUGE! I am gonna need some more food to fill it . Lilfeggle met the cabinet maker when he was there and he reckons the kitchen and bathroom cabinets are ready for install monday and will be finished by friday next week. Thats a week earlier than predicted!!! I dont want to get my hopes up too much, but its looking pretty good for a pre christmas handover now. It just goes to show how much difference a good SS can make. 17 JUNE SLAB DOWN 23 AUGUST BRICK WORK COMPLETE 15 SEPTEMBER ROOF COMPLETE 25 SEPTEMBER FIRST FLOAT COMPLETE 5 NOVEMBER LOCK UP 12 NOVEMBER GRANO POURED 27 NOVEMBER TILING COMPLETE 8 DECEMBER DEFECTS FIX AND FINAL CLEAN STARTED https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34992 Re: SWITCH HOMES Lock up/shelving finished. 177Nov 06, 2010 4:25 pm Thats great news feggles, and lilfeggle- did you not take pics!!!
