Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 17, 2010 6:28 pm Hi Guys, I'm hoping for some advice on how to get things fixed after PCI. We have had a list of defects for over 4 months and despite numerous calls (almost every week) to get things fixed, nothing is happening. Each time I call the SS I get told that he is right on it and will on it right away but then nothing. I'm at my wits end and would appreciate any advice of what I can do next. The main thing is to keep a record of all discussions, try an put them in writing, send emails and record phone conversations. With emails you can set the option for a read receipt and a delivery receipt, if they are not too IT savvy usually the read receipt option is set to automatic and you will get a reply when they have actually opened the email, this all adds to how you start the process of getting things fixed via your insurance policy. Hopefully you don't have too many serious problems. i have prodded and prodded and eventually things happen, there is my regular monday morning prod phone call, the aim being to try and knock just one thing off the list that week. Don't try and get it all done in one go, they just don't cope with that. They seem to be able to focus on one thing at a time. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17602 |
