Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 16, 2010 9:45 pm We have recently built a new home with PGH bricks and are having many issues, just curious if ayone else is having problems with their bricks?? The main concern we are having is the bricks colour is coming off the orange brick underneath leaving a very bad look to our lovely home...The bricks we ordered through PGH are 'Alloy' which is a light coffee colour, after it has stood for 3 months the glaze has left the brick and we are left with seeing the 'common' brick. Be warned and am curious to see how common this occurs... Re: PGH bricks 3Jun 17, 2010 10:11 am We were supposed to build with PGH bricks and when we went to see the consultants there- the lady we spoke to actually pointed that out to us on the particular brick we chose, which were a few of the darker colours. You only had to rub your hand on a spot and the whole colour would flake off. It looked really crappy! However Austral and boral also make this type of brick. Talk to your builder about it. It is repairable.
