Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 130Jun 30, 2014 1:28 pm Have we got access to our land yet? We're going on over a month for registration and even as far as receiving strata bills yet the last time we visited the gates we're still up, diggers still on the land and a huge pile of dirt on some lots over by the Camden bypass. Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 132Jul 08, 2014 2:59 pm Hi all I have been reading all the messages on the forum and it's been very helpful. We are looking at building in Wildfire. Which conveyancors did you use? We don't live in the Camden area but guess it will be better to use somebody around there and if it's someone who has seen the contract it would be good...? Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 133Jul 08, 2014 8:32 pm Hi Carix and welcome. I used a lady by the name of Sheree Hayden and she was brilliant and I would use her again in a heart beat. Her web address is http://www.shconveyancing.com.au Thanks, Matt Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 136Jul 13, 2014 10:28 pm Hi Mr Platto I am not bulding at Harrington Grove, but am building with Elderton. I am at the tiling stage. I have been quite impressed by the quality of the workmanship with Elderton. Their tradespeople are regulars and carefully chosen. Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 138Jul 22, 2014 7:20 pm Anybody else building at Wildfire? Not sure if we should build double or single storey. I like both but don't want to build double if all my neighbours build single or vice versa.... Luckily there's still lots of time to decide as we only register Mar-Apr. I am really excited and can't wait! I did a interior decorating course a few years ago and finally get to use what I learnt Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 139Jul 22, 2014 7:35 pm Maybe you can help the rest out I don't have a clue how to choose colours. Wildfire is nice and build what you want. They might have a similar thing they had in Magnolia where there was a single story only section. Thanks, Matt Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 140Jul 22, 2014 10:13 pm More than happy to help where I can I have pinned some pics on Pinterest if anybody wants to look and I can also recommend Shayna Blaze's book "Design your home". I like natural and light colours as colour play an important role in a person's mood. Dark colours can make you feel depressed. Black and white is very fashionable at the moment but it's not so good for the mood. Cool colours are good for the warmer parts of the house (eg blue and green) whereas warm colours are good for the colder parts of the house (eg yellow, red, orange). If you love playing with soft furnishings and colours it is a good idea to stay with neutral basics and have your soft furnishings in colour. Red is good for the kitchen as it encourage healthy appetite. If you have a very active child don't give them a bright yellow bedroom! Wildfire doesn't have a single storey section. So far all the houses I like are double storey. Just don't want to be the only double storey on the road but we should be ok right? Our block face the reserve so want my master bedroom upstairs at the front of the house so I can lay in bed watching the trees A friend recently build a single story in Carnes Hill. Their master is at the front of the house and she complains about the garbage trucks waking them up at 5am! Something to think about when designing the layout... Luckily double glazing is an option!! I do enjoy the drama:-D In his latest two videos he has started bringing security guards to site, I am waiting for the punch on to begin lol 6 46261 Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed.
