Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 12, 2010 11:35 pm Hi, Our builder has sent us lock stage invoice. At frame stage we had done independent inspection and had forwarded the report to our builder to rectify the defects. But the builder didn't bother to reply to our several requests of giving us the evidence that those defects have been removed before lockup stage. We are thinking now that, is there any sense of doing independent inspection at this lock up stage when builder is not listening to us. We are thinking that this time would it not be good to check their necessary/essential things ourselves and go for independent inspection at the final stage given that builder is not paying any attention to these independent inspecting reports. Please let me know following: 1. What essential things we should check at this stage? 2. Are there any things which at final stage inspector would not be possible to check? 3. We can see Builder has dug holes in the slab to move the position of pipes. One hole (in ensuite) is so deep that they have cut the whole slab including the black sheet and reinforcement (steel rods). Is it allowed by law? Is it normal? Should I take it seriously or leave it? Please help us out as we are totally confused now, Thanks Regards i would suggest nothing is unreasonable for PCI. we did all sorts, including checking the hot water, checking all the GPO's had power, testing that the showers were… 9 79751 you need to understand the breakdown of warranties. 90 warranty is considered as minor defects rectification period where as the longer ones are more major/structural… 1 3869 Hi, I have this sewer inspection point sitting in an odd spot in the rear of my yard: https://imgur.com/ghLI98q What I'd like to do is put a firepit in that corner of… 0 3920 |
