Preparation for the Brickies

Hi Everyone,
after a long arduous wait, the brickies are going to start on Thursday. Most of the bricks have been delivered and we put in our "port-a-loo" but as with most things in our house; we have done it the Italian way!!
this is a porcelein toilet from a demolished house that we have plumbed into the mains water and the sewage so it flushes and everything!! we thought it was a good way to save on hiring a port-a-loo, unfortunately the shed wans't quite big enough to fit it at right angles, so it's on a bit of an angle. oh well, i guess that means less cleaning for as as it's standing room only :wink:

; no sitting down :lol:

Means I had better not need to go when we are visiting the site.
now that's called italian style!!

Hi Helen, that was indeed quite special!
Your image doesn't display properly, I believe it's because you pasted the URL for the bigger image -- which for some reason was blocked. You can only use the smaller version -- that is change the "s1600" to "s400" and it will work. As shown below...

I think from memory Helen has to look after "The Family" otherwise she might end up "sleepin' wif da fishes"

thanks for that Allan, the first time i posted the picture was tiny so i went huge!
michelle, there isn't a slab underneath, just dirt unfortunately but given aiming is probably not high on their list, i am glad that it is only dirt underneath. i don't mind if their aim in the toilet is off as long as they can line up a few (well actually 23,000 bricks!)
Matt, you wouldn't believe how big 'the family' is. We really do have to look after them. as long as they don't go asking for a bidet, I think we can accommodate most things! :wink:

i think that with the price of cement now, cement boots might be a thing of the past. but that doesn't mean we couldn't be hidden in the double brick :wink:

if i stop posting suddenly, can someone please send out a search party!

Helen……by slab I meant a case of beer for the boys…..then they would be REALLY happy!!!
