Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 16, 2007 4:18 pm Hi im currently deciding between two builders, Porter Davis and Simonds. im looking at the Hamilton 34 with PD and the Langham 3400 or Vacluse 3500 with Simonds. I've read a lot of information on this forum about PD and they seem to be a reliable company but there isn't a whole lot of discussion about Simonds considering they are reputed to be Victoria's biggest home builder(according to their website anyway hehe). So does anyone have any information to how reliable Simonds are. would be nice to hear any bad or good stories.
thanks ![]() Re: Simonds or Porter Davis 2Oct 16, 2007 6:35 pm We built with Porter Davis and we had a few issues and found their customer service to be lacking big time. We have a few friends that are building with Simonds in the West and have had a good run so far (at lockup and almost complete). Simonds seem to be more flexible as our friends were able to change their floor plan, something we were not able to do with PD. |
