Re: Any experiences with Firstyle homes 50Dec 16, 2010 11:13 am I'm just starting to think about electricals. Does anyone recall the rough costs of extra power points, telephone points, tv points, downlights, standard batten lights, outside light extras. Don't want to give poor dear hubby a heart attack when I pass him the bill . normette Building a Firstyle, Oran 30 aka THE BIG 'O' Re: Any experiences with Firstyle homes 51Dec 17, 2010 12:28 pm sam is probably one of the owners. from your experience it looks like they are quite slow. normette, i went approx $1000 over the budget. and i did not even get downlights or extra tv points. The double power points i found to be enough in the standard allowances. The costly items are the outside powerpoints and the sensor lights. if you are going for downlights, go for the fluoro ones. they consume less power. don't know the price though. WC ...... Re: Any experiences with Firstyle homes 59Jan 09, 2011 5:12 pm Happy new year, everyone! Just advising that our H.Office will re open on Wed. 12 Jan. All our construction guys will be back in full swing on Mon 17th Jan. In preperation for the new year we will be assessing and placing priority on those jobs that have experienced delays. That is; we will be endeavouring to give priority to clients jobs based on the commencement date in order to minimize contract time over runs. Thanks for your patience, last year was tough, due to massive rain delays (111 days of 365) and trademen shortages. The unprcedented influx of work from first home buyers, social housing and the govt civil works placed a stain on the industry as a whole. I believe our company is over this 'hump' and can now start pulling back on some the time blow outs. New jobs should see time frames back to our traditional 26 - 28 weeks. One thing I can say is we wont be comprimising our quality and finish - the trade off unfortunately is 'time'. You should see some action shortly. By the way - No! Firstyle is not going broke - This company is stronger than most people think!! Assuring you of our best endeavours. regards Sam Hi Kaiser85, We are building with Firstyle Homes.
