Re: Carlisle Homes Montrose 36 - At Lock-up Stage! New Photo 122May 11, 2011 11:16 am hmm, so not much has happened on site and the supervisor wont return my phone calls... Re: Carlisle Homes Montrose 36 - Fixing Complete 123May 24, 2011 3:07 pm Well looks like they are getting a move on now, a tentative completion timeframe of 6 weeks has been provided! Had an onsite with the SS and Carlisle's construction manager this morning to go over a few concerns. Some of problems are significant however the CM agreed to rectify most of it which is a big tick.. One item is that the acid washer has blasted out the roll-joint on the mortar in multiple area's of the outside brickwork. This is especially noticeable in the alfresco. An option given by CH was to render the Alfresco, which could look quite nice I suppose. If i went down this track, would the same render colour used for the front facade (snuggle pie) look good in the alfresco with the anodic grey window frames or should i be looking at a lighter colour? http://i923.photobucket.com/albums/ad80/tkringle/FacadeRender-DuluxSnugglePie.jpg Re: Carlisle Homes Montrose 36 - Fixing Complete 124May 24, 2011 3:28 pm That's a great solution Stillwaters - I would give my right arm to have my alfresco rendered!!! Sounds like it's full steam ahead! Congrats - can't wait for the next photo update! Sleven Moved into our Atlantique MkII 36 by Carlisle Homes Re: Carlisle Homes Montrose 36 - Fixing Complete 125May 24, 2011 3:35 pm Stillwaters, a former forumite has her alfresco rendered, the only other render is on her front facade. Looks fabulous and makes her alfresco a really inviting place. Differentiates it from the rest of the outside... almost like a feature wall colour in a lounge room or something. A house near me has done the same thing... again, looks great! I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Carlisle Homes Montrose 36 - Fixing Complete 126May 24, 2011 3:47 pm Yes, i think i'm sold on the idea of the alfresco being rendered, however just not 100% on the colour. The only other render is one third of my facade which is in snuggle pie (however i have timber windows in the facade) Re: Carlisle Homes Montrose 36 - Fixing Complete 127Jun 05, 2011 11:12 am ok, new photos as promised! I also have the PCI scheduled for the 2st of June so not long to go now! i've been flat out on the weekends looking at furniture, blinds, concrete etc. it will be good to get in, relax, and open my 1st beer as a home owner! Facade - The porch is know going to be rendered. Rear - The entire alfresco is know going to be rendered Ensuite - and my bad attempt of getting out of the photo.. damn mirror! Powder Room - Wish i had added another colour into the wall tiles here.. oh well..
