I know that as soon as it's up we will get to see the pics. Looking forward to it don't jinx me. They spent two days laying the 100sqm out the back and grouted the next day, they then went upstairs. Since our front door has been on, everyone goes through the garage, the front door is never opened, there is no handles and it seems wedged shut, so you can't really move it(really not sure how they did it) but I have only seen it opened once Re: SunshineT's Build: dedicated to kiwi ... 2723Jul 19, 2012 10:03 am gogo - our tiling has been weird. They started on the living room over a week ago, and then the corridor. But extremely slow as you know. Haven't finished the store or foyer. But the living and corridor tiles are down, no grout, for over a week. And it is a thorough fare (especially with certain tradies). I asked Mat about when they are going to grout, and he said straight after they lay, but that hasn't happened with us. So we are going to buy some black plastic today. Worried about all the mud getting in between the tiles which will make grouting difficult / incomplete. Wished I had thought of that sooner.... I wasn't really surprised... but gee I am losing faith in promises from suppliers. I know Zen are getting really p!ssed off with this window company too. What credibility does the window company have when they say "Wed, but 100% Thurs" then nothing? So I spoke with Andrew and he has been told 8am Monday, with confirmation emails etc. so Andrew is hopeful. I am less so. Ho hum. Good news - at lunch the tile company delivered our lovely polished granite tiles. We love them! DH picked me up from work at lunch so we could go and put down black plastic over the ungrouted tiles. Looks like the tilers did nothing more today either, but the faulty generator was at least taken away this time (I assume to be fixed). Fit out guys were just in process of putting our front door on - mixed feelings. Keen to see it up but don't want it up and getting scratched... Why don't Zen buy glass direct from glass manufacturer and hire a glazier to fit it then deduct costs from window company payment. Who is the window company anyway? I have a contact at Viridian if they want to explore that pathway. You prob could have gotten some of your lights cheaper too then..I had no idea pools needed such high power - lucky for you in this instance anyway! lol T - These glass people are unbelievable. I hope the glass does come next week and it's all done perfectly. Yay on getting your granite tiles. Will be great getting to see them laid once the gen is fixed. I for one am keen to see the door up. Bound to look and I'm sure the tradies will take care. As gogo said, they may stop using it now. But not THAT special. (And I still don't think we needed the fire rated glass as we are only BAL 12.5). The semi-commercial business was with the window frames, but maybe with the window insets too. Who knows. The thing is that window company is slack slack slack. Will go check out the door tomorrow!
