Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Herbiecat's Hartley - flooring pics for the piggies pg 4 821Feb 11, 2011 7:32 pm OK OK I have finally gotten around to satisfying the pic piggies!!! Did I tell everyone that we have received the planning permit for the pool????? Well we have! the plumber is coming tomorrow to move the stormwater. The pool should be installed in the next week or two.......watch this space!! Had to chase our old SS today as the fireplace hasn't been installed properly. It lights up but then goes out after a few minutes. Think it is not getting enough oxygen. There is also a dint in one of our sliding doors. Thought I had it all organsided for repair last week but hadn't heard anything had to get a bit grumpy with our lovely SS to make it all happen. Oh well we got a phone call from A and L for the window and the SS is coming to check out the fireplace. Phew! Alright here's the piccies!!! (tradie bum alert!!!) No heels on that floor, thats for sure. Our Estate Agent left hundreds of small dents in ours when we were selling our home last year. She wore shoes with a high heel, that must have had the nail damaged in the heel, this was all in one open house. We spent about five hours with a hot iron and a wet cloth lifting the dents out. I just love wooden floors and the color you have chosen is gorgeous. I don't know why but I thought it was to be bamboo, but that looks more like timber. This is my senior moment. Whatever it is gorgeous. A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands. But just had to pop in + see these beautiful stunning floors of yours ~ they are just amazing. Are they holding up well with the finish + the wear + tear from the kids? I'm sure they are ~ are you *happy* with them? I might have to ask you at some point to PM me the details of the floor guys ~ only if you are comfortable with that ~ as we are all over the place regarding our flooring + I know that DH would really, really *love* floors like yours (+ Barb's too ) ~ I need to get going with the flooring research. Congratulations again on it all, I bet you are loving living there!
