Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 05, 2010 5:57 pm Can anyone advise me how to procede? I have a block of land I am planning to build on in a new estate. (Blackwood Park) It has a rising slope to rear. Our rear neighbour has finished his house. I was contatcted by that neighbour in an email about sharing fencing costs. I replied requesting quote. They then rang and in the discussion I again asked them to send through the quotes. There was a language barrier (non english speaking neighbour, speaking thru interpretter to me). But it was mentioned to me it was going on a retaining wall. I immediately let them know that I was considerring cutting my block up to the boundary. They gave me the name of there retaining wall guy. I contacted him and let him know I was planning on cutting to the boundary. He said my neighbour planned to build a 1m wall shortly. I said I would get back to him. (about 10 days ago) I had to make some enquiries. I have just returned from the block and the rusty posts have allready been installed, and the sandstone flagstone concrete sleepers are on site!! UGLYYYY with the required dark grey fence, and modern design I have. I want to cut one metre down (so wall would be 2m) and instal a stackstone looking sleeper.!! How should I procede?
