How much do MJH charge for these upgrades? Thanks, Ajay @Ajay we got double glazing. It depends on the amount of windows and doors. We got double glazing and ours was $8900.00 to do all the windows and Laundry door. The stacker doors were $10500.00. Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 13868Aug 24, 2016 12:01 pm Thanks MrMattBob it works out to about $1750 per door.. not too bad Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 13870Aug 24, 2016 12:07 pm One set of 3 doors from family to alfresco. However they might have increased prices.. so will wait for colour appointment and check. Can someone tell me what are the things we should check carefully in this inspection? Is it only the future location of points/outlets relating to electrical and plumbing work? Before the inspection with your SS, all the wiring for electricals and plumbing rough-ins will be installed. And if you pick up anything that seems to be out of place, you advise your SS. So best to review your floor and electrical plans before the inspection and bring them with you. If it's genone, the majority of homes come with bag'n' paint to the front of the house. I upgraded to a rendered finish instead for the front and was a little over $3k which is reasonable. Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 13876Aug 24, 2016 8:09 pm pshome Hello all, just wonder how much it would cost to bag and paint only the facade or just a portion of it, for example pillars. I am going with default facade. we went this facade and bag & painted where you see the render in the pic and it was only $1700. Our next gen house came standard with brick only despite the facade depiction showing bag and paint as this is considered an 'artists impression'. Cost $3k to render it. Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 13879Aug 24, 2016 11:21 pm Pshome what house are you building? We are building an Albany two from the gen one range. Bag and paint is included in our package (but were removing it at colours) there is a minimum charge for render regardless of how much you want to render. We were told 3k is the minimum so weather you just want the columns or the whole front facade don't it's the same price. Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 13880Aug 25, 2016 8:09 am ajayshekar So the numbers I quoted yesterday for the double glazing were totally wrong. I have looked this morning and the amount we paid was as follows, * Double Glazing for all windows $7,350.00 * Double Glazing for Stacker doors $5,990.00 * Double Glazing for Laundry door $970.00 Sorry for the confusion. Hi AKG, We had a base tender of $592 for 31 squares from MC Donald Jones. It looks relatively cheaper than other builders. But I assume there are many hidden things that… 1 17125 Hi, Apologies - I know there is plenty out there on this but struggling to put together the puzzle.
