Are you able to advise what colours you used? Thank you. Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 14424Jun 17, 2020 9:49 am gardenretreat1 Hi Everyone , I hope the air-con problems are being worked out for all that are having them at the moment. Our frame started going up today. Finally something that looks like a house so it's so exciting. I would post a pic (or ten) but I need to work out how to do that still, but I have put some pics on the blog. There are a few other MJH houses around ours ... anyone out there? it would be great to meet some neighbours. Sarah Hi Sarah we are building the garden retreat too. We just had our ext colour section appointment at the brick works in Canberra yesterday. We are building ours on a 25 acre property just out of Gunning NSW Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 14425Jun 17, 2020 10:34 am kordt gardenretreat1 Hi Everyone , I hope the air-con problems are being worked out for all that are having them at the moment. Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 14427Jun 18, 2020 9:44 am Hi all, New to the thread so apologise if this question has been asked and addressed We are building the San Marino - has anyone used Hebel and can share their thoughts on the product ? Over all it seems like a great idea but would like the perspective of someone who has used it . Thank you Kiani Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 14428Jun 18, 2020 3:44 pm KIani Hi all, New to the thread so apologise if this question has been asked and addressed We are building the San Marino - has anyone used Hebel and can share their thoughts on the product ? Over all it seems like a great idea but would like the perspective of someone who has used it . Thank you Kiani On the process of plan council approval. Habel was an option for me but i wasnt too keen given it hasnt been around that long. So being my first build i went with the sure thing- Brick. My colleague however used Habel and she swear by it. She reckons her house is better insulated( Not sure how accurate that is) I think you have to pay $3500 for Habel and Im not sure how this helps you as the owner. Habel saves the builder labor cost that isnt passed to you. I could be wrong Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 14430Jul 16, 2020 4:25 pm Hi Team Has anyone got any escalations points (email contact or phone) they can send me via private message, My sales agent and i have been waiting to get the drawings for my consolidated tender and so far its been 6 weeks and ive had no input. Ive escalated twice, my sales guy (who has been really great) has been escalating also however i think his escalations are falling on deaf ears so i need to escalate. Ive spoken with 3 different people this week who are currently building with MJH, first couple got their drawings back in 2 weeks second couple got theirs in 4 weeks and the third couple have gone through 5 consolidated tenders (due to drawing errors) I know they are busy however i am building a smaller house (hamilton5 floorplan) and i haven't made any major structural changes apart from swapping the theatre position to where rooms 2/3 were previously situated. this is stressing me out as my pre approval will be expiring soon and im yet to do my internal and electrical appointment which i'll now need to tell my design consultant to set it all in one appointment/day so im not border lining my pre approval expiring period. Hi BVD we also waited 6 weeks for the CT and got it back 2 weeks ago. It had changes they assumed would work for us without asking so we sent it back. Still waiting for it to come back. It is getting beyond the joke, they're so focused on cashing in on those eligible for the $25k grant that they have pushed those that signed up prior to this to the side. I have heard from others that people arent even getting the chance to view the studio before selections due to the influx of new sales from the grant.... My question to them is will they expect me to pay a price rise when my tender has expired and we are yet to get on site !? We paid our initial deposit in April and were always quick to respond to any DV or CT presented, if we are held up any more i doubt we will get to site before the tender expires. Have you tried messaging the facebook page or emailing customerfeedback@mcdonaldjones.com.au ? TBH i wanted to build one of their homes for many years now but im starting to lose that feeling... its getting to the point that im not comfortable making any floor plan changes because of their ultra slow wait times.
