I suppose one tip is to be patient from now on, I think paperwork will go slowly. We went through prelim quote one by one with sales rep. Still changed some thing along the way, e.g. they quoted children's activity door as the most expensive one at $3.6 approx and we wanted a normal sliding/cavity door. Think it should be golden at that price. Anyway there is still room for change. I e-mailed back and forth with all thing I remebered after that intial deposit and always got a quick reponse.
One tip would be to try and provide all relevant documents to the builder, those instruments 88B, 149 etc and chase your land developer for all documents they might have about your land (comnpaction report/Geotech)...and of course learn as much as you can so you show to the builder that you know stuff and they would hopefully be more on the ball.
Good luck with your build.
