Couldn't even look at the house- got in the car and drove home! It just shocks me that someone can treat someone else's hard earned property like that! The mowing and maintenance just wasted! I'll include a pic of my sample I took to with a matchbox car and a butter knife lol. Yep probably 50% of my changes they are happy to do Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Good thing you got a sample sent out and saw this now and not when it was too late. We are going to lay solid timber floors after handover but will have to go without for a while until we save the money. CathyLeigh How kin will you wait Cathy? It'll be cold in the winter won't it? But I guess you'll move in around summer time. Hi Saafa We might have to wait about 12 months before we get our timber flooring because we are not selling our house we live in now so things will be a little tight for a while. We did the same thing when we built previously; however, we weren't on a slab before when we did it. Might be a bit harder on a cold slab. I think it is worse on acreage as they think they have full run of the place. We too had these issues. Our latest is that the kitchen company that installed our kitchen thinks is acceptable to put up with mis aligned cupboards, scratches on most cupboards (cleaners must have used scourer). the installer had double go's at putting in screws and then tried to cover up with paper white dots. Anyway will have to follow up our maintenance period ends early august. I'm newly renovating and looking at doing my floors with a lay over flooring. Can I ask what brand the flooring is? We are looking at Tarrkett white wash. Hi Jat76 We are going to do solid timber floors after handover. We are thinking of using either Blackbutt, Stringy Bark or possibly Spotted Gum. As you can see, we are not quite sure on the timber choice yet. Good luck with the renovations. It is so disappointing when you are getting so close to the end of your build. I hope your issues get sorted out. We are pretty happy with the way it has been cut. We have some fill at the back which we might be able to spread around after the build otherwise we will just have to take it away. Not used to posting photos so hopefully they show up.
