Or anyone one started with CDC been non compliant with them And then had to go through council and been charged extra like a variation? TIA Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 9603Mar 30, 2015 3:56 pm Balified Gosh swarmski, that's a hard one! We went with having a projector and large screen to get a cinema feel to our home theatre because we just looooooove our family movie nights! We also enjoy watching normal telly shows on the big screen too but not often as we have a large screen telly in the lounge room for that! http://ourasiancreation.blogspot.com.au Yer, i'm leaning towards projector at the moment. Sidenote: wow @ how fast your garden has grown lol. Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 9604Mar 30, 2015 4:00 pm I know, crazy ha! I really do think I've developed a green thumb over the years lol. Are you building in Sydney? If so I can highly recommend Sydney Hifi to do your home theatre fit out they were fantastic with our other build so we used them again with this one http://ourasiancreation.blogspot.com.au Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 9605Mar 30, 2015 4:33 pm Hi guys, We have our final contract signing on Wednesday, do we need to have the official sign off from the bank then also? Our bank is stuffing us around atm, it should have been finalised last week and still waiting on the valuation. Can we still sign the contact for mdj? Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 9606Mar 30, 2015 4:42 pm Hey 6acre, I can tell u from experience our bank stuffed us around for more than a month!!! We had done everything on our part and just waiting for the final paperwork took forever. They ended up finalizing it the last day before we incurred the fee for going over the prep time. We have had 3 progress payments now and all three have taken forever to process. Good luck with ur bank! The paperwork for ours had to be in before we submitted to council, which was after contract signing. Or should I get a clause out in the contract "subject to finance? Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 9613Mar 30, 2015 6:00 pm Balified Nice one Jo, will you have access to your block to put the pool in after or will u do it before the build? http://ourasiancreation.blogspot.com.au Plenty of access So will be doing after the build Jo Building 'The Havana Executive' on 1200sqm Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 9614Mar 30, 2015 6:01 pm milby jomarshall We think fibreglass but are open to all suggestions and all recommendations! At the moment it's looking like a 9.4x4.2 compass with in floor cleaning lol Suggest research into compass in floor cleaning. It sounds amazing in theory but really only eliminates a small aspect of pool maintenence for a great expense. (Second hand opinion from my neighbour who went with Tranquility) My 2 cents though - steer clear of the company that is on the highway near Mcdonalds Thornton and also the concrete pool builder at Warners Bay. Ohhhh thanks for that! Doing lots of research! Yep staying clear of both of them, have also heard lots of bad stuff! Anyone got some pics of what they went? If you are going to have a dedicated Home Theatre setup, I would look at projector rather than a TV. With a projector, you can have very large screens. i.e. 100-120". The same size in a TV will be very expensive If not dedicated, then TV. Either way, look at a 4K setup. i.e. Ultra High Definition. Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 9619Mar 30, 2015 8:55 pm No progress update from us today. Worked late so no chance to drive out to the block. Congrats on everyones progress, things seem to be moving along. I dont understand why my PCI is still so far away, we have been stuffed around with dates and with the Gerflor almost done on Friday (assume finished today), probably another clean (i hope because there is a tonne of dust inside ), some more painting where they stuffed up and hopefully the carpet last. I would hope the builder is not dumb enough to install carpet when they still have to repaint an entire room. In fact you would hope it would be done the day before PCI so then its all ready to go...
