I called in Yesterday arvo & no work had been done other than the materials for the Eves getting delivered to the site so they installed the lot in 1 Day. Fingers crossed for you Nat & Dan, hopefully things will speed up. It really must depend on the area. They must not be too busy out My way by the looks of things. My S\S calls Me once a week with update's so I think its fair for you to expect the same. Communication is so important with these things. Good luck all! Has anyone on here built or is currently building the Havana 3 design? I like the design and would like to see some photos if possible as there are no display homes of the havana 3. I am aware that the Monte Carlo is similar. Thanks in advance, Brent. Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 9091Mar 03, 2015 8:05 pm gohmsen Nat and Dan gohmsen Yes I feel the same . We have had to chase her up about so many things over the past couple of weeks. When we do get hold of her she usually can't answer our question and has to get back to us. Keep calling her until you get the information you want/need. Creedy. I get excited everytime you post pictures of your build creedyflyr. We will be building the Manhatten 2 as well. Our plans have just been submitted to the developer for approval. Your house is looking great so far! And progress is flying along for you! Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 9093Mar 03, 2015 8:13 pm Woooohooo!!! Our CLO has confirmed that the plans has been submitted to CDC for approval.....the best is yet to come!!!! Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 9094Mar 03, 2015 8:31 pm Nat n Dan, we visited our block on Sunday. Still no frames on our end, maybe it's the south west area. Let's hope we see some progress this week. Creedyflyr your house is looking good. Whitehouse we had 60lm in tender but only went over by about 6lm. Can anyone tell me how long it takes normally to get to lock up stage? have to be at lock up by July, we are crossing our fingers. Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 9095Mar 03, 2015 8:59 pm thewhitehouse cwiseman $90 per metre over the allowance! We had an allowance of 190lm and came in just shy of 150lm so got a credit back Our home is going to be 295m2 which is about 32 squares. I'm a bit nervous hearing some people have had 50lm piering in their initial quote but have needed, say 120... That's an extra $6300! Oh well let's not get ahead of ourselves here. We are a little while off that stage. WhiteHouse Hi Whitehouse We are building the Monte Carlo Executive which is approximately 32 squares also. MJH initially allowed 40 lineal metres of piering in our quote. A few weeks after we paid our deposit we got our Consolidated Tender and they increased it to 120 lineal metres of piering. We are really hoping the piering comes in under 120 lineal metres and then we would get a refund back for the difference. Fingers crossed. It seems that there is such a difference in everyone's piering. I don't think you know for sure until they start doing the piering. We are only in the early stages of the build also. We have got our prelimary plan appointment next week and then our all day colour appointment the week after that. Would you recommend keeping it at that, or looking at paying for a 3rd coat? Thanks guys - so nice to see some houses coming along very nicely!!! Loving the monument!!! Anyone able to assist with my question re: paint? Thanks guys Hi casey I wanted to get the 3 coats but I thought you could never trust them. Easy to say there is 3 coats but how can you prove it. I ended up with just the 2 and thought if I have to paint a few walls in 4-5 years so be it. You may even mark a wall when moving in We are only getting the 2 coats of paint also. We couldn't bring ourselves to spend $3,000.00 on a third coat and not know for sure if we got it. Hi Nat & Dan Surely some more work will have to get done on your house soon. I hope something happens for you guys this week. We are building 2 hours away from where we live so I hope that when we get to your stage our SS lets us know what is going on because it is not like we will be able to go and have a look every day. Kitchen was due to go in early this week but I couldn't see it there. Perhaps it was delayed from the supplier. I couldn't see if our bathroom cabinetry is inside so must call our SS and see when it's going to go in Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 9100Mar 04, 2015 4:40 pm Nat and Dan Guess what!
