MadamImAdam we had our fit out payment (which is think was #5?) on 31st March and got our keys on 22nd May. Nat84 I saw the photos of your moroka on the blog and it looks fantastic! The pendant in your entryway is stunning too Thanks Michelle and Nai for your information re: maintenance. Not long after I posted the question MDJ rang me and immediately organized our follow up. They were very apologetic for missing us and super speedy in having someone come out. The majority of our issues have been sorted out today and we even had some little things (like cracks in the plaster) fixed, which I didn't expect them to do. I was very impressed Thanks MelnTom!! VERY happy with the moroka, can't stop looking at my photos of it haha And yes loving my pendants too! Thank you Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 7057Sep 01, 2014 11:39 pm newhousein2014 Such a beautiful sunny day today. Finally we have a roof!! Hi newhousein2014, it would seem we are racing each other with our Milano's My roof was also completed today and I have noticed your timeline is very similar to mine. Could I ask out of interest...is the your contract completion date around xmas/New Year period? Mine is New Years Eve but I'm hoping it's completed before xmas and doesn't go over!! Couldn't bear to move house, unpack all whilst entertaining 3 kids in Jan school hols!!! Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 7058Sep 01, 2014 11:54 pm Nat84 - Wow... what a difference to your previous photos! It's coming along very nicely, love your pendants! And by the way I'm liking that Stonebridge, lol. Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 7059Sep 02, 2014 6:27 am Boppa, the contract completion date is a worst case scenario date that they have to give as it is a 'Contract'. You will definitely be moving in before xmas guaranteed as we were given a date of 8 Jan and we had our hand over on the 11th Dec. Besides with it being that close to xmas (unless unforeseen circumstances arise), they'll want to finish it off before they shut down for the xmas break. Good luck with it all Michelle Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 7060Sep 02, 2014 6:34 am Chris spoke to our SS yesterday & he has told us that if doesn't rain, work should resume today. I'm crossing my fingers and toes so hard right now as rain is forecast for today and there's a bit on the radar so praying for nothing to hectic! Today will be 2.5 weeks of nothing happening thanks to the weather. The excavation guy went up there yesterday and dug some trenches to try and get rid of the last of the water. Really hoping to see some action today. Hi AKG, We had a base tender of $592 for 31 squares from MC Donald Jones. It looks relatively cheaper than other builders.
