Congrats, 20 day wait is the worst but hopefully the build moves along quickly for you. Good luck!!!

We’ve done our colour selections and are currently trying to make changes to our final plans. I’m just wondering about other people’s experience with their Client Liaison Officer? Is it normal for them to be hard to contact? By no means am I hounding her, but I’ve never actually been able to talk to her when I call, I have to leave messages and then wait at least a day or two before a return call. Emails are also taking longer than expected, some up to a week for a basic reply (certainly longer than I would leave it before getting back to my clients). To be honest, it’s taken a bit of the excitement out of the project and I’m sure there will be lots of delays (which I'm prepared for), it’s just that it’s not what I expected after reading this forum and others. Cheers. Hopefully the rest of our build goes well. Hi Sefac, Welcome to the thread and the joys of building. I hear your frustrations and sympathise with you, I'm sure she has all intentions of getting back to you promptly but as a fellow builder, we certainly have to be patient. We just have to understand (and believe me it's hard) that we are not their only client. I too have been known to want a quick response to questions and for the life of me couldn't work out why it was so hard to get one. Well I've decided that when you do hear back from them it's only a positive and there's nothing worse than feeling negative when you build. So chin up keep a positive approach and you never know...the delays in response are hopefully a sign that she's doing all she can to get back to you with positive answers. Best of luck with your build My experience with my CLO has been slightly different. Whilst he is busy in meetings and so forth and not always contactable when i phone I have always received a prompt reply or email either later same day or the next. I do agree that for our own sanity patience is important in the building process however building a house is no small investment and the CLO is your conduit to ensure your issues and concerns are covered off. If you feel you aren't getting this then in my view I see is no problem being a squeaky wheel to get the oil you need! We have had a positive experience with mcdonald jones and all the communication has usually through emails. Our CLO usually kept us up to date since she was assigned our case. She always used to ring us with everything that was happening with our case. Even if there were issues she tried to solve them and get us a positive outcome as someone just pointed out in their response earlier. All in no regrets so far. Since we are in the construction phase now our supervisor is really helpful and keeps us up to date on weekly basis and tries to solve any issues so the contact with our CLO is no that much. Right from day one I have received excellent service. From the sales process right through to colours and now with my CLO. Sometimes it takes my CLO or my colours consultant till the end of the day to get back to or the following morning, I recognise that they are not sat in front of a computer all day, they spend a lot of their time with clients. However, I have never had to wait longer than 24 hours to get a response. Even in times when they don't have the answer I will at least get an email telling me they are finding out the answer and they will come back to me as soon as they have something to tell me. If your CLO is taking her time as in days, I'd be extending the communication branch and informing her of your expectations I think 24 hours is long enough to wait even if it is just communication to tell you they have your query and they are looking into it. I’m just wondering about other people’s experience with their Client Liaison Officer? Is it normal for them to be hard to contact? Our CLO has been less than impressive and very hard to communicate with... any queries we have are somehow turned around on us making out we should already know, or know better than asking. With one query we heard no response for six weeks; finally deciding we should 'annoy' the CLO again with a follow up email we had a response (again accusatory) within hours... Up until this stage we were highly satisfied with MDJ Customer Service. Not going to let it put a dampener on our experience though. You would think that their customer service would be consistent across the board. I'm not sure if I've just got lucky or if the people working out of certain offices have more assistance and therefore are able to be better at the follow up or whatever. However in saying all of that. We are now on day 17 of our 20 days and I've heard nothing from anyone about when anything is going to start. Its killing me.. but I'll let them do their thing.
