Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 31, 2010 3:09 pm Hi all,
first post on this site, so thanks in advance. Am wondering if any of you have any ideas as to how we can clad our house. We need to make a decision fairly quickly and have some ideas - but really would like to see if any of you have some photos that may assist us. We are building our home on duragel posts and am looking at utilising a mix of colorbond and weathertex or linea board etc. Have any of you done this ? Would be very interested in seeing some pictures if possible. I have done a fair amount of googling and seen some pictures but none that really fit what we are trying to do. I'm hoping that if some of you have already built such a home then we might hit paydirt and find that yours is similar. Here are the elevations if that helps. http://s961.photobucket.com/albums/ae98 ... ations.jpg again, thanks in advance. cheers, Adam Re: Ideas for cladding of house, Colorbond and Weathertex 2May 31, 2010 3:28 pm CSR does not actually make any weatherboard product. Weathertex is a company on its own and linea is a James Hardie product. Check out www.lookhome.com.au for some great ideas. Look home is an awards program based on environmentally friendly design incorporating lighweight construction (cladding). I love the deep shadow lines. And its good that no-one can tell just by looking at it, what type of weatherboard we used.
Also after looking at your elevations, I think you house would really suit the style of a weatherboard home Re: Ideas for cladding of house, Colorbond and Weathertex 4May 31, 2010 3:34 pm kid81 CSR does not actually make any weatherboard product. Have edited original post. Re: Ideas for cladding of house, Colorbond and Weathertex 5Jun 04, 2010 6:05 am Righto, we've narrowed down the colours we want. We are going to clad the house in approx 75% Colorbond, 25% Weathertext Weathergroove (Smooth), and the roof will be Colorbonnd. Colours we would like are: Bushaland, Dune and Evening Haze. Does anyone have some advice on what colour we should do the roof - given the 3 colours above. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we're just finding it hard to picture the final look. cheers, Adam Re: Ideas for cladding of house, Colorbond and Weathertex 6Jun 04, 2010 8:19 am We used a CSR product called Cemintel on our rebuild - looks sensational Easy to prepare, great to paint & doesn't rot. here is a photo of the side of the house in the early stages - 175mm wide, secret nailed.
