As usual check the blog: http://ourgrandeplan.blogspot.com Re: Carlisle Homes - Updated 24/10/2007 - A new beginning... 62Oct 23, 2007 2:41 pm Hi Matt, it just gets better & better doesn't it???
Hey in your blog you also posted this pic with the comment : http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/matthewnathan/c5e05066.jpg Quote: I have included a copy here of the original plan that Emma drew up on the day and I have never been so glad we had something in writing. This could have easily been misconstrued. I have included the red line to show the line up of the feature tiles we have in our entry. Do they have a copy of that drawing with the red line or was it just drawn on for the homeone users reference? Don't give up Matt. And to Carlisle, if you are reading this thread.... I'm very surprised that this poor guy has had to put up with so many issues from a builder that prides itself on Customer Service and Quality and in fact states the following in their website: Quote: Carlisle Homes was created to offer home buyers in and around Melbourne a real choice in quality housing at affordable prices. Our display homes have won major awards, we include all those luxury extras in the price and we bring a new level of personal service and commitment to every project. It’s no wonder so many satisfied customers recommend Carlisle Homes to their relatives and friends In my opinion, if this is an example of the sort of service that some clients recieve, that is, one issue after another, I won't be recommending them to anyone!!! and: Quote: We offer more personal service and a comprehensive customer charter. These are not words to make you feel better, but part of everything we do. We limit the number of houses we build each year, appoint an experienced building supervisor for the duration of your project and offer more choice and advice. Our after sales service is only ever a phone call away. Real service doesn’t have a cost – it’s priceless. What's priceless is the amount of NEGATIVE PUBLICITY that Carlisle seem to be drawing to themselves by continuing to drop the ball!!! Good Luck Matt, we are all behind you mate.... (PS. if you want to moderate my comments, please feel free to do so). Re: Carlisle Homes - Updated 24/10/2007 - A new beginning... 63Oct 23, 2007 4:31 pm Tam Does this mean the doors are not centre to the room? I hope you can still enjoy your house at the end of all this Matt. Maybe it would be easier to rip out the door and door frames and centre that instead of the tiles?! The front doors are suppose not to line up the middle of hall way? It's looks to me the left and right space are not equal? or just only me? It's looks to me the left and right space are not equal? or just only me? Sorry BMDH, Not quite sure what you are saying here??? He's asking if the front doors are supposed to be centred to the hallway or not? Re: Carlisle Homes - Updated 24/10/2007 - A new beginning... 77Oct 24, 2007 10:01 am INSPECTION CANCELLED!!!
I had an inspection booked today with "D" to go through the house and measure / straight line to make sure that everything was going to be fixed prior to handover. Last night at 5:30 "D" rang me to confirm this inspection today at 2:30PM. He rang and left a message on my phone this morning at 8:30 saying that the inspection had been cancelled by John (A director of Carlisle Homes) and that I was required to call John after 11:30 to arrange an appointment. "D" was just simply fllowing instructions from the "boss".... Ahhhh, One would assume so! I was supposed to go and measure this today but as per last post the meeting has been cancelled. I will find out the next time I measure though Re: Carlisle Homes - Updated 24/10/2007 - A new beginning... 79Oct 24, 2007 10:39 am Not sure what they want to talk to you about Matt, but perhaps they are getting increasingly uneasy about the "exposure" they are getting with your issues.
Customer service in the building industry has been a problem all along, and near enough is good enough is invariably ok with some clients, but not with others. Hope other builders (large and small) are watching this space...
