The messages and emails have been overwhelming to say the least. The issues that have been resolved this week had already been posted here and because they were already in the public domain there is no need to change those although I will not refer directly to which issues they were. After a lengthy conversation yesterday afternoon at the offices of Carlisle Homes that involved myself, Katie, Dean and "R" we were unable to reach an amicable resolution to the issues and Dean requested an extension to further investigate extra ways to bring things to a close. After numerous phone calls today between myself, Katie and Dean I am happy to report that an agreement has been reached on all the large outstanding issues. I am unfortunatley not at liberty to discuss the contents of the meeting nor the outcomes reached but what I can say is that Dean was very professional in his approach to sorting out the issues and that the agreement is favourable to both builder and client alike. I apologise for the vagueness of this reply but hope that you understand the complications involved in resolving situations such as these. Re: Carlisle Homes - Updated 24/10/2007 - A new beginning... 31Oct 20, 2007 7:46 am Matt,
Great to hear that things have been resolved to everyone's satisfaction. As is usually the case, nothing beats face-to-face communication to resolve issues. It also shows that everyone wants to do the reasonable thing, it just needs an opportunity and communication to happen. As we all hope, our building process should/will not be THAT stressful...
At least Carlisle were open to the issues and could come up wiht a win-win situation for all. Hopefully they will be pulling out all stops to make up for the "lost time" so-far.... I'm sure you just want to get into the house. One month to go, start packing those bags!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
