The issue of the kitchen has been resolved...
I received a phone call today from Dean (I hope he doesn't mind me using his name for the second time on my blog) in regards to the issues that were annoying me and generally causing me to feel this way about his company.
I vented about all my issues to do with customer service and construction, how I felt I was being treated and the reasons that I took the position that I had in regards to all the comments made on my blog and the various forums I am associated with.
He listened without interruption and at the end explained why the company had taken the line it had and apologised that I felt the way I did.
He insisted that the company did not want any angry /unhappy clients and that they promote a "work together attitude" to keep their clients happy.
Dean assured me that I would be extremely happy with the final product.
The end result is that I have had my faith restored in Carlisle Homes and whilst there have been a few compromises made to this point I am mostly happy with where we are at.
I look forward to the progress made from here on in being much happier.
