If so the stamp duty you pay is based on the purchase price of the property, if you are a first home owner etc. Here's a calculator which will give you an estimate on what it will be. http://www.quicklaw.com.au/popup.asp?pa ... n_rate.htm If you already own the land and will just be pulling down a house that is already there, then as the house is not changing ownership, not stamp suty is owing.
