Happy dance! 839Oct 27, 2010 11:41 pm It's so funny that you guys get all these specifics, i dunno if it's just coz we're in 'the sticks' or what, but we don't seem to get PCI and handover with a date. The builder knows us by name, i had to go choose all the selections by going to the three different tile shops lol. I'm guessing we will find out about our 'handover' when the builder rings and goes 'hey, we're done, do you want the keys?' LOL We are budgeting for the landscaping too, but hopefully it will be looking ok for Christmas. Luckily our turf is included and we have plans for the pavers and shed to be finished by then. Isn't it great when ppl offer to help by giving you cuttings of their plants I plan on taking heaps from our current rented garden (why not hehe!) and i've been looking into watering systems at Bunnings, they have the pop up sprinklers you can mow over. They are very expensive though :S plan,block,contract:8-9/2009 Land settle & FHOG$:15/2/2010 Site start:19/5 Slab:4/6 Frames&Trusses:11/6 Roof,windows:24/6 Bricks:1-5/7 Gyprock:14-16/7 Kitchen!,garage door:5/8 Driveway,verandah,tank:2/9 Paint:17-23/9 Tiles!!:15-20/10 Kitchen&bathroom appliances,blinds:22/10 Carpet:8/11My blog: http://buildingbug.blogspot.com Re: Flaggie's Build - PCI & Handover booked in! Happy dance! 840Oct 28, 2010 1:17 am flagstaffIV Thanks Bobes!! Got lucky I guess but am abit worried about being the only person living there. Oh, I sooooooooooooooo know that feeling. We've been living in our new house for around 8 weeks or so now, I think it's been, and I'm still jumping at shadows when DP leaves for work at those ungodly hours. No neighbours really and no fences for a few more weeks doesn't make it any easier. I feel really vulnerable. Get a quote for security doors for your sliding doors, as I've heard they are easily opened. Even the cheap eBay window and door sensors. They are only a couple of dollars each, and will do for now if you don't have an alarm. It'll help you sleep a whole lot better. Or I can come and visit and stand guard Dear J.K.
