I'm suggesting half height wall for good visuals on the kids. You could get your sound barrier by adding glass to the top of it - an internal window between the rooms to make a full height height wall but still be able to see over the wall. A full height wall would work better, but no visuals on what is happening in the other room (although wood and glass french doors would look amazing on either end and provide views)
And not dumb at all.
btw - what did hubby think of the changes?
He liked them and hopes that esp by moving the games room back wouldnt alter the roofline to much if at all. Just hope it doesnt blow the budget thats all, things like the cloat cupbards can alway be down later, but the WIR in bed 2, moving the games room back and squaring off the kitchen bench and back wall and possibly the half wall are y priorty at the moment.
with septics, tanks, horse paddock fences all still to do we are on a budget (as most others are too )
