Re: NBG Canterbury 27 - Updated Pics 16/2 245Feb 16, 2011 9:31 pm Hi, Bricks are looking fantastic. Like Kaytee I am going for the natural mortar with the La Mesa bricks as it was one of the upgrades that I just could not justify. Glad to see things are moving along. We were really lucky with our white mortar as our builder didn't charge any extra for it Will be heading up there later this afternoon to take a close up of it for you Kay Building the Canterbury 27E by NBG: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34051 Re: NBG Canterbury 27 - Updated Pics 16/2 247Feb 17, 2011 12:57 pm Ruralife Thanks Michelle. We were really lucky with our white mortar as our builder didn't charge any extra for it Was this going via the builder directly rather than thru NBG? NBG told me it was an additional $900 so I ended up having to decline that upgrade. Did you approach your builder directly and ask them how much the upgrade was? When our builder sent through the proper variations, I questioned the mortar colour and was told there would be no charge so I didn't question it again lol. I guess the reason they don't add it, is because each builder have their own inclusions/exclusions and maybe mortar is one of them - well, it was with my builder anyway Building the Canterbury 27E by NBG: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34051 Re: NBG Canterbury 27 - Updated Pics 16/2 249Feb 18, 2011 1:04 pm Thanks for the information. I might have to ring the builder and ask some questions...... I went up to the house yesterday to take some more progress pics (which really was a waste of time really). In almost a month (since my last pics taken on 16 Feb), they still haven't finished the bricks and still haven't got some of the windows in (they actually had to take the 3 windows out of the theatre room and put them into the rumpus room so they could do the bricks) and now they have started the fascia. Our sliding door still hasn't been replaced, and I am told that in 3 weeks time the bricks and roof should be finished. They have only got 12 weeks left! Can't see us moving in on the completion date, or any time near it to be honest *sigh*. They sent an email last week saying they are running on schedule so it will be interesting to see how it pans out I guess. Anyway, you can see here, how all the 'half' jobs are going Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Building the Canterbury 27E by NBG: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34051 Re: NBG Canterbury 27 - Can it get any slower? New Pics pg.1 256Mar 17, 2011 7:45 pm Hi Michelle - yes there has been, just haven't really had a chance to get online and update as a lot has been happening. The roof is on and we should be at proper lock up by tomorrow. Although I need to go and check as we are still waiting on the front windows to arrive. I am going to head up there tomorrow as I want to speak with the bobcat guy who is going to do a site clean and will take some more photos. Thanks for asking Building the Canterbury 27E by NBG: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34051 Re: NBG Canterbury 27 - Can it get any slower? New Pics pg.1 257Mar 17, 2011 9:06 pm Photos?
