Yeah, this is the 4th time we have done it off the plan and are really happy that it has worked out so well The windows look great!! I didn't get photos the other day as I forgot my camera but we are heading out there again today to move some rocks so will definitely take some then. One of the sliding doors need to be replaced though as it opens in the wrong direction. I rang the builder on Tuesday when I noticed it and he said he'd organise for it to be changed Kaytee Wonderful to see so much wood. Now for the lid and some walls. Congrats. Thanks Kay .... It's almost been a year since we handed over our initial deposit so we are glad to finally see the wood too!! We have been told that nothing will happen over the next week but then the roof will go on & the bricks will start so really looking forward to that Building the Canterbury 27E by NBG: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34051 Re: NBG Canterbury 27 - Frame Pics - Page 11 223Jan 29, 2011 7:39 pm Just a few more pics showing the windows. They still haven't put the windows in the mancave (the big room to the left) but they'll be there soon From the gate: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ From the opposite side of the street: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Looking across the front: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And looking down the side: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We went up on Friday to try and tidy the block up a bit. Cleaned up a lot of mess out the front and I spent over 2 hours mowing the front weeds .... we are definitely going to need to get a ride on mower once we are up there. Actually, I should have taken a photo of my hard work - geez it looked so much nicer. I still need to go back sometime this coming week to finish the front area. Not even going to attempt the back - going to get that all scraped & levelled a bit closer to when we move in . Re: NBG Canterbury 27 - Window/Frame Pics - Pg 12 228Feb 09, 2011 8:26 am We have bricks!! Nothing else has happened since my last post, except I drove up to the house yesterday and saw that the bricks have been delivered. The builder told us last week that the roof, fascia & guttering should all get started by the end of this week & then the brick layer was heading our way. Fingers crossed by Friday, I will have some updated pics Building the Canterbury 27E by NBG: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34051 Re: NBG Canterbury 27 - Bricks have been delivered!! 229Feb 09, 2011 9:29 am Nice bricks I presume? lol Can't wait to see them up for you. Building the Canterbury 27E by NBG: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34051 Re: NBG Canterbury 27 - Bricks have been delivered!! 235Feb 10, 2011 10:51 am Congratulations BRICKS are exciting. Re: NBG Canterbury 27 - Bricks have been delivered!! 236Feb 11, 2011 6:46 am Thanks patty they are very exciting ...... although it is raining again this morning so I don't think there is going to be much happening today. Hopefully they get the house wrapped though. We went to Dollar Curtains yesterday to make sure our first lot of selections were still available and only 80% of them were so had to choose another fabric for the boys rooms & massage room. Not a big deal really - didn't take long to find something else. We were never really sure what to have in the Theatre room either but found a really funky striped fabric that we are going to use. I'll try & get a pic of it later today & post it up but you can see a little snippet of it HERE. It's the very bottom one - black & grey stripe. All I need to do now is go to the paint shop & find a grey paint to match so we can do the feature wall I am also heading down to the carpet suppliers on Saturday to choose the carpet. I love putting all the colours together Building the Canterbury 27E by NBG: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34051 Re: NBG Canterbury 27 - Bricks have started!! 237Feb 16, 2011 8:31 am Headed up to the house this morning and took a few photos of the bricks. As you can see the roof still isn't on. Apparently the brickie was available first so they are leaving the top rows and I think the roof will be going on next week Loving the bricks though .... so happy with our choice Can't see much in this photo (other than the three windows that are still missing on the left hand side - in the rumpus room). Hopefully they will be there by next week Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ A few close ups Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And how nice does this look?? Are you doing the off white mortar. Can you (if you are) get a closeup or a larger pic some time. Would love to see the difference to ours with the neutral. I sorta kicked myself for not going with the off white but I'm still happy with them. A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.
