I am bowing to pressure and starting my own thread, seeing as I have been watching this site for quite a few months.
We sold our old house in April 2009 and house-sat for friends whilst looking for a new house. After quite a few unsuccessful months, we gave up on buying an established house and bought a block of land. We then went through the paces of searching all the display homes and visiting all the builders. We were in the process of having a house drawn up by numerous different builders when we came across Dechellis' Entertainer, which was more or less exactly what we were looking for. We signed up in August 2009. We are now renting a tiny little house while we wait for our house to be built.
Site preparation commenced (finally) in March 2010 : 2 large retaining walls were built and over 500 tons of fill was brought in.

And framework has begun this week. This is the view we will have of the sunset through our kitchen window. The little rectangle in the middle is a glass window with cupboards above and benchtop and cupboards below. The window will be too low to see through when standing, but will allow in light and will be the perfect height to see through when seated at the breakfast bar :

I took a few more photos of the framework yesterday, but I haven't put them on the computer yet. With 4 little kids, its hard to find the time
Anyway, that's where we are at. Looking forward to sharing our building process with you.
