They motivated me to ring the council to chase it up. They advised a permit had been issued on 29 September, so we rang the demolisher who confirmed they'd be starting taking the asbestos out THIS WEEKEND!! Exciting! Plus, our builder called the other day to say he has architect drawings ready for us to look at! So we go to see them on Saturday too. It's all happening... ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: How long does a demolition permit take? 6Oct 18, 2007 3:40 pm Thats great Donuts! I'm jealous!! Ruth we are building with Western Design Homes. They are a small (? 30 homes per year - is that small?) firm who mainly build in Melb's western suburbs. We saw our proper drawings today. Very exciting. A couple of small amendments (eg they had tiles where floorboards are going to be, and a couple of other things we hadn't decided on yet), but otherwise they look great. Don't worry Ruth you will get there soon. With the amount of research you seem to be doing you are bound to be quicker than us. We bought our block back in March and only now is it being demolished.
