Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 15, 2010 9:58 pm Hi everyone. Been keeping an eye on this site for a few months and it is now time for our contribution to the "Building an New House" thread. We are building with Hallmark Homes about 1 km from beautiful Moreton Bay in the eastern suburbs of Brisbane. This is the third time we have built with Hallmark Homes, the last being about 10 years ago. Had a great experience then, and are hoping for the same again. We are building a highly modified version of the Ascot, including adding alfresco, colorbond roof and 9 foot ceilings. http://hallmarkhomes.com.au/house-plans.php?id=26 After waiting for over a year for our block of land , we have been told that block will be scraped this coming Friday and slab down on the following Friday . Photos to come. Just completed build with Hallmark Homes Re: Hallmark Homes - East Brisbane 2May 15, 2010 10:24 pm Hi there, We are about to start building through Hallmark too! I think if/when we build again I would get something like that, I love the activity room it would be perfect for the kids ... unless of course they've moved out by then Greenhaven After waiting for over a year for our block of land , we have been told that block will be scraped this coming Friday and slab down on the following Friday . Photos to come. We had to wait about a year for our land as well ... drove me nuts I was soooooo over it Everything going smoothly now!!! Looking forward to watching your build. Best of luck and hopefully no more delays Re: Hallmark Homes - East Brisbane 6May 17, 2010 9:53 am Thanks everyone. Northbound, we do love the Hallmark built homes. They are built really well, the design just works and they are great value. We basically are getting a free inground pool with the money we saved compared to other builders! Love the fact that everything looks out to the alfresco (and pool) too. We looked at other homes, but never really considered them. All that furniture etc in the display homes is costed into the price of those lovely homes. We can do that ourselves. We turned the activity room into a bedroom and made bedroom two a theatre room/man cave/ladies lounge/guest room whatever. Changed the windows to suit. I'll post the plans shortly. emlet01 and 2pais, am looking forward to reading all about your builds. Have really enjoyed yours Pebbles (hope ours is as fast).
