Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 14, 2010 10:59 pm I always thought the garage floor would be re-surfaced at the end of build but I was wrong. SS simply got the brickies to come back to apply "something" onto the garage floor to cover up paint marks and stains. I have raised it thrice and was told this is the best solution, no re-surfacing. What do you think? I decided to just sign off the completion certificate instead of holding off further, in any case I am sick of arguing with SS. Is it just me? Anyone has similar experience? http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy81/rocketleaves/IMG_8199.jpg Re: Would you accept a garage floor looking a bit discoloure 2May 14, 2010 11:38 pm If it was me I would accept it, for the simple fact that it is the garage and you park your car on it most of the time. Most of the garages I have seen over here, have the "brushed" finish, so any variations in the colour it is harder to pick up. If it was the alresco area, then I wouldn't accept it as it is in a more public area. ---- Building in Banksia Grove We have keys - 31st March 2011 Re: Would you accept a garage floor looking a bit discoloure 3May 15, 2010 1:39 am If you don't like the surface, why not paint it a quick google or forum search will give you some idea of whats available. Re: Would you accept a garage floor looking a bit discoloure 5May 15, 2010 9:37 am I agree, accept it, it's just a garage. Re: Would you accept a garage floor looking a bit discoloure 7May 15, 2010 10:14 am Nope, wouldn't bother me either. If it did, I'd paint it, as Belial suggested. Re: Would you accept a garage floor looking a bit discoloure 8May 15, 2010 11:00 am Thanks for the feedback and suggestions to paint it. I might consider painting it...if I have enough energy to do that after doing my feature walls hmmm id assume youll get hit with the "natural product therefore variation in colour etc" excuse.
