We got our builder (and several others builders) to do a site inspection in March, everything came back pretty good so on the 1 April we paid our deposit.
2 weeks later we had a contour survey done,
the next day or so we changed our plans and design
2 weeks ago we got a new tender.
We still havent received any draft plans and still waiting on the revised tender
So all up its been about 6 weeks, Does this sound like the normal timeframe to get to the stage we are at now)
Apparently the builder only wants the structural changes for council as they said council doesnt care where extra linen presses are or doors/walls moved. Does this sound right?
They also stated that after it gets back from council we will then do the internal changes and do the final tender.
To me, we are alittle suprised that this is the case and would like every change big or small made prior to council (and on the plans for the builder).
We would also like the fixed price tender done before council as well as the colours/electrical (so we know how much everything will be)
I would love your comments on this please.
