Browse Forums Building A New House Re: *K&S Redink Homes* Kitchen Splash Back Pic** 321Nov 22, 2011 4:16 pm Hey Thinkster and CC thanks heaps:) Bit of an issue with range hood. Apparently the depth of the flue is thicker than the range hood so the cover sticks out by 2cm.... I think I can live with it, but it's just bit annoying. Re: *K&S Redink Homes* Kitchen Splash Back Pic** 322Nov 24, 2011 12:17 pm Sam, did you bring in the tapware yourself or did you get them through REdink? Must have cost you heaps to get through them? I was thinking of upgrading the tapware in the kitchen but figured it might be cheaper to do it after... Re: *K&S Redink Homes* Kitchen Splash Back Pic** 323Nov 24, 2011 6:39 pm Hi Geste, I've supplied them myself:) They let you supply one "category" of item yourself (well, Redink anyway) I originally wanted to supply the basins and other kitchen appliances as well but I chose tap wares at the end as I suspected it'll cost way more than basin upgrades:) I think taps overall cost me just over 1k for all (all the tap wares through out the house) They were all WELS rated, and just supplied them to plumber at initial stage of the build, then they installed them all. I didn't get any money back for tap wares because it's more expensive to install mixer taps apparently so it canceled out the rebate of not getting taps from them. I haven't used them , of course, so not sure whether they're good quality or not but so far so good I'd recommend you do the same.... it'd be really expensive. For example, I've got the big rain shower and hand-held shower in the ensuite(which is being installed at the moment I saw:) One of the mates built with Redink got a quote for the rain shower and hand-held shower in the ensuite over 1k just for that....... So they ended up not getting them and just got normal hand-held shower. Hope this helps CHeers Re: *K&S Redink Homes* Kitchen Splash Back Pic** 324Nov 24, 2011 10:19 pm PCI has booked for 2nd December, next Friday More tap pictures including showers. Hi Geste Thanks:) Hmmm our slab down was 8th of July So really about 5 months and a bit only. Given that we had bit of rain during brickworks, can't complain at all We've been told that brickwork normally takes less than 2 weeks whereas it took just over a month for us due to the rain. So if it wasn't for that, could have been even quicker:) I'd go for 6 months and just push for it:) Talk to your site supervisor about it saying that you gotta be outta there in 6 months hehe Re: *K&S Redink Homes* PCI 2nd December!!!
