Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 07, 2010 6:18 pm Hi all Has anyone ever heard of this firm or used them. Have given us a relay good quote for a build but they are not on the Product Review web site. We are first time builders who have only been in Oz eight months, dont want to make the mistake from hell... Any info appreciated Cheers Re: Sloping Block Builders Melbourne 5Feb 01, 2011 10:25 am Hi, jdq69 & Bhrolachain - Just wondering if you ended up going with this builder and how you found them? Rolev - how did things end up for you? How far off complete are you? are you happy so far? We have a fairly competitive quote from them to build our house, so far they have been good, however we are finding them to be quite slow! We paid them to prepare plans in Oct and only now are we starting to get final floor plans. im hoping it is just the initial stuff that takes the time and they get the ball rolling quickly with the build. Re: Sloping Block Builders Melbourne 6Feb 01, 2011 4:52 pm hi, we did our own plans ourselves and it took 4 months for it to be completed as it does take time, We are at the stage were the brick work is being done down stairs, we are 1 month behind thoug it"s cause of all the rain we have had, the traders cannot assess the block as is slopping down, but now with the warm weather everything is on it way So dont worry i'm still happy Re: Sloping Block Builders Melbourne 7Mar 03, 2011 12:53 pm Has there been any progress on your building? We are looking at building with sloping block but they have been very slow, heard mixed reports about their work? Any feedback would be appreciated. Re: Sloping Block Builders Melbourne 10May 05, 2011 8:06 pm Hi there, Did you get them to do your plans or did you get them drawn up elsewhere? (If so, by who and what was the cost?) Thanks!! Re: Sloping Block Builders Melbourne 11Jul 06, 2011 11:24 pm Bumping this thread We are looking at this company to build our house. So far we have received a very good "ball park" figure from them for our custom build, and we are impressed with some of their standard inclusions. Anyone out there who have built with this company? I'd like to hear some feedback on them Custom downslope build Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61873 Blog http://www.buildingroyalmanor.blogspot.com.au Re: Sloping Block Builders Melbourne 13Nov 01, 2011 1:16 pm We are going through a cost estimate with them at the moment, and have had a walk through of one house they've completed. Whilst the house wasn't to our taste it had a similar fall to our block. The price they've given us is by far the best we've had but we just want to make sure that the build quality & finish is not compromised. Would be interested to hear people's experiences. Windows and doors left laying in mud for months. Site looks like a rubbish dump. Nothing but hassles and spent over 350K just on house.
