(2009) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=17354 Re: REDISHADES - ANY GOOD + AND - 7May 02, 2010 9:22 am I've had the majority of Redi Shades on my windows for 7 months. I have ordered the plantations to replace them, but they could take another 8 weeks to be installed! I have removed 4 from 2 windows when I installed white timber venetians, and they didn't remove any paint at all. I'm hoping the rest won't remove any when I come to take them off too! For the price, they have been absolutely fantastic. Instant, cheap privacy, and looks so much nicer than different coloured sheets or blankets, or even newspaper. The fact that they CAN be opened is a bonus! Most of mine often stay shut as it's just too time consuming to open them all every morning, some stay open most of the time, but shut if going away for extended periods. I haven't trimmed any of mine on the bottom, and just use the pegs to weigh them down and hold them in place on the window sill...works perfectly for me. That way I find they don't flap about as much if I have any other windows/doors open. After 7 months of opening and closing some of them, they are only slightly 'tatty', but still work perfectly. None have torn...even with rough treatment form 2 kids and a cat who likes to peer outside past them! Brilliant temporary solution, and they can be recycled afterwards...or used as craft paper for the kids with wild imaginations! Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!!
