Try to get some windows in on this side so you can get more northern light even if they are just highlights - there is a direct line of sight from the living areas to the main bedroom door. This would be better avoided. - upper floor powder room is awfully close to the kitchen. It would be better relocated further back. Ami Re: Custom Design floor plan thread post them here!! 1672Dec 13, 2012 7:00 pm Deemaree HomeAngels Here's a link to our plans and elevations. Now that we've given the ok on these floor plans we are waiting on the working drawings to come to us. http://buildingroyalmanor.blogspot.com.au/ Could you please post the plans here instead of directing to your blog? It's the way this Forum prefers our threads to function. Sorry Deemaree I'll try and link to pics below. Hopefully this works: Floor plan Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Basement level (note: this area is mostly unfinished space, except for the bathroom). This area will be hubby's project - his mancave. Which way is north? Yep... we don't call it a block, we call it a cliff!! Total of 9 metres of fall from the front to the rear of the block. Block is 50 metres long. House faces north west. We purchased the 'cliff' with this type of houseplan in mind. We have views to the rear which can't get built out. If the neighbours behind build a double story they still won't block our view Custom downslope build Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61873 Blog http://www.buildingroyalmanor.blogspot.com.au Re: Custom Design floor plan thread post them here!! 1677Dec 16, 2012 8:39 pm HomeAngels jodge Wow homeangels. . . quite a slope you have there! If I were you, I'd make a secret door between Bed 1's WIR and the pantry. . . for midnight snacks. nom nom Re: Custom Design floor plan thread post them here!! 1678Dec 17, 2012 6:41 pm jodge HomeAngels jodge Wow homeangels. . . quite a slope you have there! The basement rumpus/lounge will be slab & foundations. Front of the house bearers/joists. At least thats my understanding of it. The secret door - don't laugh but hubby has already asked the builder if they can put a little flap door in. He said that will be the shelf where the chips are kept. The builder thought he was kidding Custom downslope build Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61873 Blog http://www.buildingroyalmanor.blogspot.com.au Re: Custom Design floor plan thread post them here!! 1679Dec 17, 2012 11:26 pm oooh, mixture! I think the chip-flap is a great idea. . . you could have them all behind a locked glass door in the pantry, so the kids could see them but can't touch. .. unless they're good. . . and all the while, you can be having your little midnight snacks. . .
