Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 29, 2010 12:28 pm We are thinking of building with Arban and I have read all your posts from last year. Can anyone tell me how their experience has been with Arban? Thanks. Re: Building with Arban 2May 10, 2010 12:53 pm Hi there, We are building with Arban, still in the early stages. Have just finalised our custom plans, and have submitted them to our estate guys for their approval. So far, they have been quite good. Only complaint so far would be that it has taken a few months to get to this stage, so the process to date has been a bit slow. PM me your email address if you want to discuss it more. Re: Building with Arban 4Jun 01, 2010 12:50 pm Hi Dodger, as per my earlier post... so far so good. Little bit slow, but we are doing a custom build. They have been great in addressing our concerns, and have spent a lot of time working with us to get our plans just right. I have been impressed so far. Of course, true test of any builder is how they conduct themselves AFTER you have signed a contract. We have all heard plenty of Jekyll and Hyde stories about builders after contracts are signed. We are nearly at that point, so, I'll keep you posted how things progress after that point. Re: Building with Arban 7Jun 19, 2010 4:46 pm We are building with Arban. We signed just before Christmas and they are about to apply for the building permit on Monday. In general they are pretty slow. They rarely get back to you on the same day. My partner and I just call and call and call until things get done now. It seems to be working Another thing.. In another forum, A lot of ppl had complaints that Arban put the price of the house up just before they signed.. Same thing happened to us!! Didn’t bother to mention it until the day we were signing. Re: Building with Arban 9Aug 11, 2010 6:52 pm Hi, I am building with Arban - about 3weeks off finishing. Quality has been good, only complaint so far has been the time it has taken (all the other houses seem to go up in no time but we have been going almost 12mths- we are building a large custom home but would like to see more workmen on site getting things done). Our block was flat with no rock so we had no suprise costs - our only one so far has been the air con - we needed to upgrade due to the size of house if we wanted to actually cool the place. Any q's please PM me and happy to answer.
