Before Christmas???? Elevate it mate, take it higher up the chain if you need to. Ask someone from management to meet you out on site to go through your issues - and resolve them to your satisfaction.... I'm sure you won't walk away from a fight.... It feels like the heels are being dragged. I am able to compare this with others homes being built here and that I am having built elsewhere. We were told to expect mid October but things just keep getting in the way (like rain  )
I have directed the post squarely at the directors of the company. There is no-one in a better position to make things happen. The thing is I don't want a fight I just want the house finished and to be treated honestly. That simple!! I couldn't toot "their horn loud" enough. (so to speak) I am falling out of love with them rather rapidly. I have kept a lot of the faults / issues off the blog (and the forum) in the hope that by doing so might help speed up the process (ie the report from New Home Inspections etc) but it appears to have done me no favours. Tomorrow will no doubt be an interesting day. I have already paid the majority of the payments and there is only the fix and handover payments remaining. These are only small (compared to the rest) ... Now if the supervisor had said no work because of rain at Mikes house I would have understood.... It's all to do with the final date they have to meet. Posting bad stuff or good stuff on the web is not going to fix it - unless you have a real issue. If it's a real one - call TDT or someone like that and get some real attention. Or is it the bet with Vanderlay that's done it ? Sell the sunnies and you'll be able to buy him those beers

They are not shy with sending the bills!! I had a bill for the frame stage 2 weeks before the frame was finished.  penjaySometimes I think this is the problem. Penjay, There is still a fair amount outstanding to them (over $100,000) but this is a small amount compared to the overall. The thing is they are going OK time wise its just the other things that are getting to me!! The contract payments are an interesting point - we paid our "fix" payment a couple of weeks ago - so with a tentative hanover date of 22/10 we had paid for 90% of the house with 6-7 weeks of work to go - not much incentive for them to hurry along! Have a contact at the HIA who has mentioned the standard HIA contracts are being revised due to some sections being overly biased to the builder. Will be interesting to see if any changes happen.... Dont forget your house is a second storey bigger...so you should be taking longer!!
I think our supervisor gets grumpier than we do about any delays....I get the feeling the PD supervisors are on a decent bonus system for getting homes built ahead of time... Which as great...as long as the work is not rushed... Will be getting Kevin in pre-handover for sure!Built Porter Davis "Dromana" 2007.
