We are about to sign up with National Builders for a home in Carrum Downs Hallbury was NBG builder of the year in 2010 and in our area - so should we ask for them? Are NBG and Homes Now one and the same? Re: Homes Now- Hallbury Homes 7Jan 11, 2011 8:23 am I used to be a Franchise Manager in a previous business before Hallbury joined NBG and can tell you - and I haven't caught up with the owner for quite a while - that he is one of the best owner/managers of a building business that I have dealt with. I once asked him how come he built the most houses out of all of my franchisees (I looked after 30 around Melbourne, Geelong & Tasmania) yet I never received one complaint from any of his customers when I would talk to many customers of the other builders? And he had a simple philosophy: be at each job once a week at the exact same time and your clients will know when to catch up with you on site. The problems that arise from any job going awry is always communication. The fact that this Builder was always on each of his sites during the week meant that the client knew when they could see him on site if need be and therefore if there were any issues the could be sorted out with the "boss" there and then. Whilst I'm not 100% on Homes Now sales techniques I can assure you that Hallbury is or when I was working with him, very much a professional builder and I would have a home built by him if I were building today. I don't write much in this forum any more because I don't like to write bad things about certain builders because I'm in the industy, so when I take the time to write something about someone please take it as it is and not a paid endorsement or anything like that. Don't fall for the "Freebies" scam 9 24789 This is one of the reasons I decided to go overseas for my double glazed windows. As the builder indicated, he's worked on many upmarket builds, these were the most well… 13 19233 2 15462 |
