Browse Forums Building A New House Re: NSW Housing Code 5Feb 17, 2012 5:56 pm synthman Hi Jim, Very true ! I am starting to feel the same way. I am glad you have gone past that stage... The builder is asking me to do a lot of works i.e. preparing landscape plan, storm water plan and go knock on neighbor's doors to let them know about the plan to build etc...Did your builder ask you to do these things as well? As I am at an early stage (yes, still and frustrating !) If you don't mind, would you be able to share in term of preparation cost, compared to the DA process, would going with the CDC cost more? For example, with one builder, I would deposit a $4000 and the builder would prepare all paper works and submit to Council. With CDC, how much this preparation cost would be? My builder at the moment is not able to paint a clear picture to me on this subject. Judging by what it is asking me to do, I have concern as I have no idea how much a landscaping plan or a storm water plan would cost and how much more I would still run around doing until the plan is approved by the Certifier? Seems to be a big black hole for me now. Thanks in advance for any help Jim. Hi sythman, I feel terrible , only just realised you had further questions for me, since it's been almost 2 years, I'm sure you've answered your own questions by now. Sorry if you are reading this... avi2prasad Post subject: Re: NSW Housing Code Reply with quote Hi Synthman I'm also planning to build using CDC, can you please share the process ? Regards Avi Hi Avi, since I dropped the ball with synthman, I'll try to redeem my credibility and hopefull try to help you.
